Facials for men in Laval

Shaving five times a week means dragging a blade across the same skin two hundred and fifty times a year.

A facial for men

What shaving does to your skin

Every pass of the blade does not only cut hair. It also removes a fine layer of cells from the surface.

Repeated daily, that keeps the skin barrier in a permanent state of repair. It is what explains skin that feels tight, reddens quickly, and reacts to products it used to tolerate.

The hair, meanwhile, grows back with a cut end at an angle. On dense curly hair, particularly on the neck and under the jaw, that point can turn back into the skin instead of coming out of it. That is an ingrown hair, and the inflammation that follows looks like acne without being it.

A facial works both ends of the problem: it calms skin damaged by the blade and it clears the follicles where hairs are getting stuck.

The area prepared before the treatment

The one that actually fixes ingrown hairs

Worth being straight about, because it changes what you should book.

A facial clears the follicles where hairs are currently stuck, and calms the inflammation around them. That helps, and it helps again next month, and the month after.

Laser removes the hair that keeps getting stuck. Fewer follicles producing hair means fewer hairs turning back into the skin. It addresses the cause rather than the consequence.

If ingrown hairs on the neck are your main problem, laser is the better spend and a facial is the comfortable maintenance alongside it. We would rather tell you that than sell you the monthly appointment.

Comparing the eight

Three different problems, eight treatments, and the price does not tell you which one is yours. The "for which problem" column is the one to read first.

Before something that matters. The Hydrafacial and microdermabrasion are done in the days beforehand. The peel and microneedling are not: the skin needs its own time.

Start from the problem, not from the treatment. The skin analysis is free and exists exactly to settle which of these eight lines is yours.

Irritated skin pushes back just about everything. A breakout, active rosacea or a fresh razor cut make us wait, and the analysis is what checks for it.

What your appointment looks like

Step 1. We look at your skin and you tell us what bothers you.

Step 2. The skin is cleansed deeply, which takes longer on skin used to daily shaving.

Step 3. Exfoliation, then extraction, with attention to where hairs are trapped.

Step 4. A calming mask, then protection.

Questions people ask

Everything people ask us before a first session, answered plainly.

Should I shave before coming?

The day before, not the morning of. Freshly shaved skin is already irritated, and extraction on top of that is more uncomfortable than it needs to be. Twenty-four hours is enough for the skin to settle.

Will I look like I have had something done?

There will be some redness for a few hours, mostly where extraction happened. It reads as having been out in the wind rather than as having had a treatment. If you have something on that evening, book for late in the day or the day before.

Do I need to buy products afterwards?

No, and nobody will line them up on the counter. If something specific would genuinely help, we will say what and why. Most of what changes skin damaged by shaving is technique and timing rather than another bottle.

Is this different from a women's facial?

Same treatments, different starting point. Skin that is shaved daily is thicker in places, more irritated in others, and its congestion sits where the hair is. The protocol adjusts to that. The name on the page is about the areas and the causes, not about a different product line.
