What these terms cover

This is the website of L'Institut Béa Inc., at 600 rue Lucien-Paiement, suite 105, in Laval.

By using this site or booking a treatment, you accept the terms below. If something here does not sit right with you, write to us before you book rather than after.

We may change these terms. The version that applies is the one online at the time you book, and the date of the last update is at the foot of this page.

This site informs you, it does not treat you

What this site does

It describes our treatments, their areas, their times and their prices, and it explains how a session goes. That is general information, written to help you choose.

What it does not do

It makes no diagnosis and does not replace the advice of a health professional. Nothing on this site should be used to decide on a treatment alone, to stop one, or to put off seeing a doctor.

The medical side is separate

Treatments that fall to a physician are governed separately from the rest of the institute. He keeps his own medical record, which institute staff cannot access, and he bills his own fees. What you read on those pages is factual and is not medical advice.

Every skin answers differently

The number of sessions, the pace and the outcome vary from one person to the next. We tell you what we see and what we can do, never what you are certain to get.

Before and after photos

The photos we publish are of real clients, framed identically on both sides, and published with their written consent.

They show one case, not an average, and they are in no way a guarantee of results. The same series of treatments can give a different outcome on different skin.

We do not retouch these photos beyond cropping both sides the same way.

Booking, cancelling, paying

Booking goes through Fresha

Our appointments are booked on Fresha, a third-party service. When you book, you also accept Fresha's own terms, over which we have no control.

Prices

Prices shown are those in the catalogue at the time you look at them, in Canadian dollars and before applicable taxes. A price can change, and the one you are charged is the one shown when you book.

Deposit and cancellation

A deposit is taken at booking and comes off the total. The terms, the 24-hour window and what happens if you do not show up are set out on the cancellation policy.

We can decline a treatment

If, when you arrive, we see that a treatment does not suit your skin, your hair or your situation, we say so and we do not perform it. We then suggest something else, or we refund the deposit.

The content of this site is ours

The texts, photos, videos and structure of this site are protected by copyright. You may read them and share them by a link. You may not reproduce them, publish them elsewhere or use them commercially without our written permission.

The name L'Institut Béa, the logo and the elements of the brand may not be used without our agreement.

The typefaces and other licensed elements used on this site remain the property of their respective holders.

Links to other sites

This site links to services we do not operate: Fresha for booking, our social media pages, and the parking next door.

Those sites have their own terms and their own policies. We answer neither for their content nor for what happens on them.

What we do not answer for

We keep this site up to date with care, but we do not guarantee that it is free of error or available without interruption.

We do not answer for loss arising from a decision made on the strength of this site's content alone, from an interruption of service, or from the use of a third-party site we link to.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

What we collect, why, and how long we keep it is set out on the privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the laws of Canada that apply in it. Any dispute falls to the courts of the judicial district of Laval.
