PRP starts from your blood. A clotting disorder, a platelet abnormality or significant anaemia may rule it out, and that is for the physician to judge.
PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
These procedures are not performed during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
CERTAIN TREATMENTS AND CERTAIN MEDICAL CONDITIONS
They contraindicate PRP, and it is one of the reasons for the medical assessment beforehand. An infection or a lesion in the area also postpones the procedure.

Does it hurt?
There are two moments for PRP: the draw, which is an ordinary blood test, then the injections, preceded by a local anaesthetic. The points are spread across the face and the sensation most often described is a brief pressure at each one. Redness and slight swelling follow for twenty-four hours. For exosomes on their own, there is neither a draw nor an injection.
How many sessions should I plan for?
The catalogue offers these approaches as a package of three, which gives the order of magnitude. The reason lies in the mechanism: PRP does not deposit a result, it triggers a response from your skin, and that response builds from one session to the next. An isolated session rarely shows much.
When will I see something?
Not straight away, and that is what separates these approaches from filler. The first weeks go to the biological response, and the change is often noticed first in photographs rather than in the mirror, because it is gradual. Take a photo at rest, in front lighting, before you start: it is the only reliable point of comparison you will have.
Is the blood drawn on site?
Yes, the same day, and that is what explains the length of the appointment. The blood is drawn, spun immediately, then injected back. Nothing is stored, nothing is sent elsewhere, and the product injected into you is your own, prepared in front of you. That is also what sets aside the question of a foreign substance, without making the procedure risk-free.
PRP or exosomes, how do I choose?
The physician decides, after looking at you. What to know beforehand: PRP has a longer scientific track record, and it comes from you. Exosomes are a more recent approach, with less of a track record, and the physician will explain where the knowledge stands before you decide anything.

They are synthetic and of non-human origin, made in a laboratory. They come from no donor and nothing is taken from you. That distinction is not a detail: the regulatory notices published in Canada target products of human origin, and a synthetic product does not fall under the same framework. It is the kind of precision better heard before booking than after.
