KB Pure Anti-Aging Facial in Laval
Skin that feels firmer to the touch and a more even texture. This protocol works on loss of firmness, skin grain, fine lines and a complexion that has gone flat.

NATURE OF THE TREATMENT
An esthetician's treatment. No injection, no medical procedure.
What is the Anti-Aging protocol
It is an hour-and-a-quarter manual facial, built around the KB Pure range, aimed at the surface quality of the skin.
Over the years, skin holds water less well, its grain thickens and its surface reflects less light. The protocol works on all three: it exfoliates, nourishes and supports hydration, spending more time on massage than the other protocols do.
This treatment addresses loss of firmness, changing texture, fine lines and a complexion that has gone flat.
This is a surface treatment. It fills no volume and erases no settled line.

Is this protocol right for you?
This treatment works on the quality of your skin, not on its structure.
It is for you if:
Your skin feels tight and holds hydration less well
Which visually accentuates fine lines, often more than the lines themselves do.
Your skin grain has thickened
The surface catches light differently, and the complexion looks flatter than it used to.
Fine lines stay visible at rest
Around the eyes, between the brows, around the mouth.
You are after regular upkeep, not a procedure
A surface treatment that repeats, with no needle and no downtime.
This treatment fills no volume and erases no settled line
If what bothers you is a hollow or a deep line, the answer lies elsewhere and belongs to the physician. See wrinkles, sagging and volume loss, and the comparison of the four protocols if you are hesitating between them.
Contraindications
AN ACTIVE FLARE ON THE FACE
Rosacea, eczema or dermatitis. Mature skin is often thinner and reacts more, so we postpone more readily here than elsewhere.
A RECENT MEDICAL PROCEDURE IN THE AREA
An injection, laser or other intervention. A waiting period applies, and it is asked of whoever performed the procedure, not of us.
BROKEN OR BURNT SKIN
Sunburn, an open wound, or isotretinoin (Accutane) treatment ongoing or recent. Also tell us about any known allergy.

A treatment adjusted to your skin
Four things are set during the session, and the massage is one of them.
- HOW STRONG THE EXFOLIATION IS
- Mature skin is often thinner. The exfoliation is set accordingly, gentler than on oily skin, or it irritates instead of renewing.
- HOW LONG THE MASSAGE RUNS, AND HOW
- This is what sets this protocol apart from the other three. The time spent and the movements adapt to how firm your skin is.
- HOW THE EYE AREA IS HANDLED
- The skin there is the thinnest on the face. The products and the movements are different, and that area is worked separately.

Frequently asked questions
Everything people ask us before a first session, answered plainly.
Does it hurt?
No, this is a surface treatment. The exfoliation gives a prickling for a few minutes, more noticeable here than elsewhere because mature skin is often thinner, and it drops as soon as the product is removed. The massage, which is the longest part, is also the most enjoyable, and plenty of clients fall asleep during it.
At what age should I start?
There is no age, there is a state of skin, and that is what we look at. Skin that feels tight, whose grain has thickened or that holds hydration less well benefits from this protocol, whether you are 35 or 65. Conversely, booking this treatment "just in case" on skin showing none of those signs adds little over the Classic protocol, for $50 less. We will tell you so.
Does it replace injections?
No, and it is not the same work. An esthetic treatment acts on the surface of the skin: its hydration, its grain, its ability to reflect light. A settled line or a hollow belong to the structure of the face, which no surface treatment reaches. The two are not competitors, they simply do not aim at the same thing, and plenty of people do both. If your question is about volume, it belongs to the physician.
How long does the effect last?
The immediate effect, plumped skin and a brighter complexion, holds for a few days. It is real, and it is why this treatment is often booked before an event. The deeper effect, on the quality of the skin, is built through repetition and holds as long as the regularity does. This is not a treatment you take once.
Do I need a routine at home?
It counts more here than on the other protocols, because surface quality is played out every day and not for one hour every six weeks. Three things do most of the work: steady hydration, daily sun protection, and a cleanser that does not strip. The rest is optional. We will tell you at the end of the session what your skin showed and what is worth changing in your routine.
Does it suit sensitive skin?
Yes, provided the exfoliation is set accordingly, and that is precisely one of the four things adjusted during the session. Mature skin is often thinner and more reactive, which is not the same thing as skin that tolerates nothing. Tell us what your skin has already reacted badly to: it is the most useful information you can give us, more than the names of the products you use.
