A man of about thirty-nine with black hair swept back

KB Pure anti-aging facial for men in Laval

Features that are setting in, skin that no longer shrugs off a short night. An hour and a quarter, a long stretch of it manual massage.

Product worked along a man's jawline with gloved fingertips

TYPE OF CARE

Esthetician's treatment. No medical procedure.

What is the anti-aging protocol

It is the KB Pure protocol that gives the largest share to massage. Where the others spend their time cleansing and extracting, this one works on tone and circulation.

The massage is not an added comfort, it is the main step. It stimulates surface circulation, moves the muscles of the face, and lets the actives go in while the skin is warm. It also takes the most time, and that is what accounts for the price gap with the Classic.

A word on what this treatment does and does not do. It works on the quality of the skin: its suppleness, its hold, how it looks when you wake up. It does not fill an established line and it does not replace an injectable. A crease ten years in the making cannot be massaged away.

What concerns you. A man's skin loses collagen later but faster. It holds well for a long time, then the change makes itself felt over a few years rather than gradually. Plenty of men notice it between thirty-five and forty-five, all at once.

Is the anti-aging protocol right for you?

This treatment works on the quality of the skin. It does not fill a hollow, it does not freeze a muscle, and it replaces no medical procedure.

It is for you if:

  • Your face shows a short night more than it used to

At thirty, a late night went unnoticed the next day. At forty, it shows for two. It is the first thing men notice.

  • Your skin has lost some hold

Along the jaw above all, where slackening shows first on a man.

  • Fine lines on the forehead and at the corners of the eyes

The ones still visible at rest, not only when you squint.

  • A grey look despite a good week

Circulation slows with age and with sitting still, and the face shows it before the rest.

Looking to do something about an established crease?

This treatment will not be enough, and we would rather say so. Write to us: depending on what it is, the answer is microneedling, a procedure by the physician, or nothing at all.

Contraindications

INFLAMMATORY ACNE IN A FLARE

Massage spreads inflammation. The esthetician reschedules or works elsewhere.

ACTIVE ROSACEA

Massage stimulates circulation, which is exactly what skin that already flushes does not need. Say so, and another protocol will suit you better.

A RECENT SHAVING CUT

Shave the day before. Massage on nicked skin irritates.

ISOTRETINOIN (ACCUTANE) TREATMENT

Skin becomes thin and reactive. Name it when you book.

A KNOWN INGREDIENT ALLERGY

Say so when you book. The range has several formulas.

A facial for men

A treatment adjusted to your skin

Two men do not get the same treatment, and three things explain why.

HOW FIRM THE MASSAGE IS
It is adjustable. A man's skin, being thicker, takes firmer pressure, but the eye area is the eye area on everyone.
WHICH ACTIVES ARE CHOSEN
They depend on what the skin shows: dehydration, loss of hold, dull tone. Not the same formula in the three cases.
THE BEARD
Massage works on skin, not on hair. On a full beard the work concentrates on the forehead, temples, eye area and neck.

The session step by step

We want to do everything we can to bring you toward the best version of yourself. That is why every session follows the same steps.

  • An aesthetician examining a man's face under the illuminated loupe

    1

    What you see changing

The esthetician asks what you notice, and since when. The answer guides the actives.

  • A man's face being cleansed with a cotton pad along the jaw

    2

    Cleansing and exfoliation

A gentle exfoliation, so that what follows reaches skin rather than dead surface.

  • A treatment solution brushed across a man's cheek

    3

    The massage

The long part. Face, neck, eye area, with movements that follow the muscles.

  • A soothing mask smoothed over a man's forehead and cheeks

    4

    Actives and mask

Applied while the skin is warm and circulation is open.

  • An aesthetician explaining aftercare to a seated man, a jar in hand

    5

What holds and what does not

She tells you what a treatment can do, and from what point something else is needed.

Why choose L'Institut Béa

  • THE MASSAGE IS THE TREATMENT, NOT THE FINISH

It is the longest step, and it is what accounts for the price gap. Not one more product.

  • WE SAY WHERE A TREATMENT STOPS

An established crease cannot be massaged away. We point you elsewhere rather than sell you a pointless series.

  • NO DEVICE, ONLY HANDS

The gesture adjusts to what the skin gives back, which no dial does.

Common questions

Everything people ask us before a first session, answered plainly.

Does it remove my wrinkles?

No, and nobody here will tell you otherwise. A manual treatment works on the quality of the skin: its suppleness, its hydration, its hold, how it looks on waking. A fine, recent line can look less marked because the skin is better hydrated and better supplied with blood. A crease ten years in the making is a change in structure, and no massage fills it. If that is your main goal, microneedling works on relief and injectables belong to the physician. We say so rather than sell you six sessions.

Does a man of thirty-five need this?

Need, no. It is a comfort and upkeep treatment, not a necessity. That said, a man's skin holds well for a long time and then changes fairly quickly, often between thirty-five and forty-five, and plenty of men come the first time after seeing that shift in a photo. Starting early freezes nothing, but it keeps skin in good condition rather than trying to catch up with skin that has already dropped off.

Is the massage just to relax me?

No, it is the technical step of this protocol. It stimulates surface circulation, which is why your complexion is less grey on the way out, it moves the muscles of the face, and it drives the actives in while the skin is warm. That it happens to be pleasant is a side effect, not the aim. If you are worried about falling asleep, know that it is common and nobody will make anything of it.

Does my beard get in the way?

No, but it moves the work. Massage acts on skin, so on a full beard it concentrates where skin is reachable: forehead, temples, eye area, cheekbones and neck. Those happen to be the areas where slackening shows most. With a very short beard the treatment runs normally across the whole face.

How long does the effect last?

A few days for what shows immediately, meaning the complexion and the feel of supple skin. What settles over time asks for regularity, every four to six weeks, because one treatment does not change skin on its own. What matters most between sessions is what you do at home, and the esthetician will tell you what, which usually comes down to two or three products.

Can I do it before an event?

Yes, and it is a good use of it. There is no downtime, the skin is merely a little pink for an hour, and the visible result arrives the same day. Unlike a peel, which needs a week of margin, or vascular laser, which needs a month, this can be done the day before without risk. Plenty of men book it before a wedding or professional photos.

How is this different from the Classic?

The time given to massage, and the actives. The Classic cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates: it is a survey and a reset. This one does less extraction and far more manual work, with actives chosen for hold and circulation. If your skin is loaded with blackheads, start with the Classic. If it is clean but looks tired to you, this one answers better.
