Afterward, count on two days without a blade on the area, because the skin is more reactive and a cut over a freshly treated vessel inflames more than it would elsewhere.

Yes, and you should know beforehand. For a few hours the area is redder than when you arrived, sometimes a little swollen. Then the treated vessels darken, turning purplish or brown, and they stay visible for one to three weeks before clearing. That is the sign the treatment worked, but it is also why you should not book a session ten days before a wedding or a photo shoot. Leave a month.

Not necessarily. A face that reddens with effort and settles within ten or fifteen minutes is normal: that is circulation doing its job. What is worth a look is colour that takes an hour to go, that eventually stops going at all, or that leaves visible vessels behind. If you are in the first case there is nothing here to treat, and we will tell you so rather than sell you a session.

It dilates vessels, so it heightens the redness at the time, and regular drinking eventually leaves permanently dilated vessels, especially on the nose and cheeks. It is not a question of extreme quantities: a few drinks a week is enough in someone predisposed. The laser removes what is already there, and what you do afterward decides how quickly the next one appears. We are not here to lecture you, only to make sure you know what to expect.

For a few isolated vessels, one session is often enough, and it is sometimes billed per lesion rather than as a full session. For diffuse redness settled across the nose and cheeks, count on a series, spaced weeks apart so your body has time to clear what was treated.
