Lymphatic drainage for men in Laval
Legs that weigh by evening, ankles that keep the sock's mark. An hour of very slow pressure, and nothing that resembles a massage.

TYPE OF CARE
Massage therapy. Insurance receipt provided. No medical procedure.
What is lymphatic drainage
Manual help given to the lymph, through slow, rhythmic pressure aimed the way it drains.
Lymph is the fluid that carries waste and surplus water out of your tissue. It runs in a network alongside the blood's, with one difference that changes everything: nothing pumps it. There is no heart on that side. It moves because your muscles contract, because you breathe, and because a hand pushes it the right way.
Which is why standing still is the problem. Twelve hours upright without walking, a full day in a truck, six hours on a plane: the fluid goes down and it stays down. That is the heavy leg you feel at night.
A warning about what you are picturing. The pressure used here is very light. It moves skin without crushing what sits underneath. Plenty of men come expecting a massage and leave wondering whether anything happened. Something did, and the number of trips to the toilet over the next two hours is the plainest proof of it.

Is lymphatic drainage right for you?
The treatment acts on fluid, not on muscle. That distinction decides everything.
It is for you if:
Your socks leave a mark at night
The dent left above the ankle after you pull the sock off is the easiest signal to read, and the most common among men who work on their feet.
You never move all day, or you never sit down
Both extremes produce the same thing. A driver, an office worker and a shop-floor worker all end up with legs that weigh.
You travel often
Six hours on a plane and a time change swell almost everyone, and the feeling drags for days after you land.
You are coming back from immobilisation
A cast, a brace, a few weeks without loading a leg: circulation does not restart at the same pace on its own.
Are you actually after untying a knot?
Massage therapy works the muscle, which drainage does not touch at all.
Contraindications
AN ACTIVE INFECTION
Drainage speeds up a fluid that is carrying exactly what the body is currently fighting. The session is rescheduled.
THROMBOSIS OR PHLEBITIS
Known or suspected, this is a firm contraindication. Medical advice comes first, no exception.
HEART OR KIDNEY FAILURE
The treatment returns fluid to the general circulation. These situations need a health professional's agreement.
CANCER IN TREATMENT OR RECENTLY TREATED
Name it when you book. Drainage is not ruled out outright, but it is not decided without the treating team's opinion.
BROKEN SKIN ON THE AREA
A wound, a burn, a rash: the area is worked around, the rest proceeds normally.

A treatment adjusted to your situation
Two men do not get the same session, and three things explain why.
- WHAT IS CAUSING THE HEAVINESS
- Long hours standing, a flight, immobilisation or summer heat do not call for the same route or the same length.
- THE ORDER OF THE WORK
- The nodes at the neck and underarms are cleared first, always. Opening the exit before pushing toward it is the entire principle of the treatment.
- HOW MUCH TIME THE LEGS GET
- Over 60 minutes, the legs take most of it if they are your subject. Over 90, the rest of the body follows.

Common questions
Everything people ask us before a first session, answered plainly.
It was so light I doubted anything was happening. Is that normal?
Completely, and it is the most common reaction among men after a first session. The instinct is to measure effectiveness by how hard someone pushes, which works for muscular massage and not at all here. Lymphatic vessels sit just under the skin: strong pressure flattens them instead of emptying them. The work happens at the surface, close to ticklish, and the best sign that something happened arrives within two hours, when you visit the toilet more often than usual.
My ankles have been swelling for months. Drainage or a doctor?
A doctor first, without hesitation. Swelling that is recent, persistent, on one side only, or accompanied by redness, heat or pain is not an institute matter. It can point to a circulatory, cardiac or kidney problem, and drainage is formally contraindicated in several of those cases. Drainage is well placed for ordinary heaviness tied to your day, the kind that eases when you put your legs up and returns on the same schedule the next day.
How long does it hold?
A few days to about a week, and the cause dictates everything. If the swelling came from a flight or an unusually heavy week, one session can reset it. If it comes from your job, it will come back, because the cause comes back every day. In that case the maintenance is free: walk a few minutes every hour and raise your legs in the evening. Drainage becomes an occasional boost rather than a monthly expense.
Does it make you lose weight?
No, and nobody here will tell you it does. What the scale shows after a session is water, it returns the same day, and it has nothing to do with fat. Drainage changes how you feel and sometimes how a leg looks by evening, not your body composition. If the goal is elsewhere, body treatments is a different conversation, and it does not promise weight loss either.
What is the face version for?
For morning puffiness, mostly around the eyes and along the lower face. It is useful after a short night, a very salty meal, a heavy evening, or before an event where you want to look rested. It runs forty minutes, has no aftermath, and the result shows the same day. It replaces no facial: it moves fluid, it does not work on the skin.
I have to go back to work afterward. Does it show?
Nothing at all. No redness, no marks, no oil in your hair. You get dressed and you leave. The only thing to plan for is access to a toilet over the following hours, and a water bottle, because drinking through the rest of the day is part of the treatment.
Do I stay dressed?
No, unlike reflexology or reiki. Drainage is done on skin, generally in underwear and under the sheet, with only the area being worked uncovered at a time. If the face alone is the subject, you stay dressed.
