Keravive applies the principle of a facial to the scalp: clear it, feed it, keep it up at home.
A vortex tip loosens and draws out what congests the skin and the follicles, through gentle suction and exfoliation. A hydrating solution is then applied to the cleared area, and a spray is given to you for daily upkeep.

Does it hurt?
No. The tip draws; it pierces nothing and cuts nothing. The sensation is close to firm suction on the skin, and plenty of people find it pleasant, a bit like a deep scalp massage. The skin is not broken, so there is no recovery time. The intensity is adjusted if one area is more sensitive.
Does it make hair grow back?
No. Keravive cleans and hydrates the scalp, meaning the skin the hair grows from. A congested scalp is not the cause of hair loss, and clearing it does not resolve shedding. When hair starts thinning, the first person to see is a doctor, not us. The hair loss page explains plainly what the institute can and cannot do.
How many sessions should I plan for?
What is certain is that the cause does not go away: you will keep washing your hair and putting products on it. The usual logic generally calls for a first pass to clear things out, then spaced upkeep, with the daily spray in between. It is in fact the spray that does most of the upkeep work, not how often you come in.
Can I wash my hair afterwards?
Not for the rest of the day, so the solution can work. The exact instructions are given at the end of the session, because they depend on your scalp. Wash your hair the day before your appointment rather than that morning: a freshly washed scalp gives less information about its real state.
Does it damage colour-treated hair?
What we can say: the treatment works the skin of the scalp, not the length of the hair, and the suction does not touch the fibre. If your colour is recent, mention it when booking.
Who does this treatment?
An esthetician at the institute. It is an esthetic treatment, with no injection and no medical procedure. PRP for hair, on the other hand, is an injection performed by a physician, and it is an entirely separate route, with its own consultation and its own framework.
Can it be combined with another treatment?
Yes, and the most logical pairing is with the back facial in another session: both address skin that congests for the same reasons, product residue and friction. Nothing stops you having it the same day as a facial either, if you have the time: they work different areas and do not get in each other's way.
